This Virtual UXNight will be about the intersection of research and design. We'll explore research operations, processes, and methods to improve collaboration and be more effective.

Each talk will run about 25 minutes, then we'll have a 15 minute Q&A moderated by Andi Galpern, Founder of Cascade SF. This is a virtual event that will take place on Zoom. All registered attendees will receive a customized link with a password to attend the talks.

User research is important, yet some companies don't have the budget or timeline for UX research. In this presentation, Megan will teach us how to move the needle with user research.

Daniel Camilleri, UX Research Lead Consultant (Past: Uber)

Daniel will show us what he looks for when hiring UX researchers, how to explain the bottom line and show impact when interviewing for a user research role.

Alex Goldman, Design Research Lead Consultant

Alexander Goldman is a UX/ Design Researcher with expertise in mixed methods research, strategic research, and the fintech industry.

Most recently he served as Design Researcher for the personal loans business line at LendingClub, where he worked with design, product, and marketing to analyze and develop improved UX across the customer experience, including both strategic and tactical projects.

Michele Ronsen

Michele Ronsen, Founder, Educator, and Design Researcher at Curiousity Tank

Michele Ronsen is the Founder of Curiosity Tank, a design and user research firm based on San Francisco, CA.

Megan Kierstead, UX Research Leader (Formerly at Trifecta and Salesforce)

Megan Kierstead has over a decade of experience in building out pragmatic, scrappy research teams across a variety of industries including healthcare, financial services, retail, and other notoriously complex areas.

daniel camilleri

Daniel Camilleri, UX Research Lead Consultant (Past: Uber)

Daniel is a registered Psychologist who specializes in User Experience Research, Design and Behavioural Economics. At Uber he worked on building a bank and helping to improve Driver financial health. Prior to that he co-founded a 3 day music festival and conducted VR research for the army.
