Keynote Presentation
"Visualizing Information"
with Linh Yao Pham from Salesforce
Whether you’re out to captivate audiences, win arguments, spread knowledge, cure cancer, or change the world, data is a magical, emotional, and powerful ally.
Data is evidence for convincing arguments, and it provides insight to new discoveries. Effectively expressing the information you uncover from data is just as important as discovering those insights in the first place.
Where visualizations are the most effective means for communicating data, designers have tremendous contributions to make. Yet, few creatives in the arts and design industry have ventured into the world of transforming data into information.
In this presentation, Linh Pham, Lead Product Designer at Salesforce Analytics, will introduce us to the basics of visualizations and analytical design, while showing us how designers play an impactful role in the Data-Information-Knowledge-Wisdom hierarchy.
