Research can be a very scary word. It may sound like money you don’t have, time you can’t spare, and expertise you have to seek. Fear no more. With the right mindset and a few key concepts, you can do useful research no matter how few resources you have. Not only will this reduce the risk of a wrong guess, you’ll also work more productively with your team and generate better ideas faster.
Erika Hall is the author of Just Enough Research. In 2001, she co-founded Mule Design Studio in San Francisco where she is the Director of Strategy. Erika speaks and writes frequently about cross-disciplinary collaboration and the importance of natural language in user interfaces. In her spare time, she battles empty corporate jargon at Unsuck It.
